Care Assistant: Role & Responsibilities

Our care assistants help our clients live safer, supported lives in their own homes. Following individual care plans you’ll assist with personal care, help clients bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and support them with taking their medication.

Other requirements of the role include:

  • Companionship – being a friendly face & preventing loneliness
  • Personal Care – helping with all aspects of personal hygiene
  • Medication – collecting prescriptions & providing reminders
  • Mealtimes – preparing tasty meals
  • Housekeeping – keeping their home just the way they like it
  • Mobility – help with getting around


We’re looking for both full-time and part-time care assistants. There are a variety of shifts available with guaranteed hour contracts available to suit.

Hours are flexible!

And depending on the location, we also pay your travel time and pay 45p per mile for use of your own car.

Care Assistant Job: Skills & Requirements

Whilst having care assistant skills and experience is helpful, no experience is necessary.

If you are compassionate, resilient and willing to learn, then you have the most important attributes needed for a care assistant role.
